Michigan Townships Sing-a-long

James Township also hosts a segment of the Saginaw Valley Rail Trail.  One of the parking lots for this trail’s end is located on Stroebel Road, just west of the Weigl Road intersection.

James Township also hosts a series of trails that are part of the Saginaw Shiawassee Federal Wildlife Refuge.  This site is located on Stroebel Road, East of S. Center Road.

MMWA (Mid Michigan Waste Authority) currently manages the trash collection and disposal, recycling collection and processing, and yard waste collection and composting contracts for 34 member communities.

James Township provides weekly curbside collection of trash, weekly curbside collection of recyclables, and weekly curbside collection of yard waste (when in season). For best results residents should have all properly prepared materials at the curb no later than 7:00 am. Remember, you have a service day not a collection time, routes run until finished. For any service issues always call MMWA at (989) 781-9555 within one business day of your service day.
